Where did Add User go?

I know we have Dashboard -> Users -> Add User which sends an email out to a outsider in an attempt to get them to join. (ie It’s an invite. Let’s be honest.)

I no longer see any option to add a current user from the community. You know. Add User to Blog.

I either missing something here or, well, I’m missing something here.

Someone care to clue me in?

Thanks,

Well, it’s also missing from edublogs. May want to install it over there as well.

I know there was some discussion on allowing Add User from outside the community a few months ago. We’ve got that turned off across the board.

Could have sworn the form was still there.

    edit: Removed nine months ago:

I’m reading the Add User page now and I guess admins can add current users but have to know both the username and the email address before an email gets sent. That’s probably why no one’s complained about it on my end. Rather not have the option to send to a totally new user though. Still think that’s open to abuse by spammers though.

Hmmm, have to think about this one.

    Thanks

Don’t you mean Users > Add New? It is Add New that sends out the email to either an existing user or to a new user while also creating their username.

If you mean Users > Add New then for us in Site Admin > Options you need to select the option for admins to see it. We have it as Yes on Edublogs because non-supporters need it to add users to their blogs.

Users > Add Users is available for Edublogs supporters only and adds already created users in batches of 15.
