[SmartCrawl Pro] Jetpack & SmartCrawl

Hey there. Using Jetpack with WooComerce makes some things easier, like shipping, but I don’t want to screw up anything done by SmartCrawl. have you run into this before? FYI – This is a multisite environment.

    Hi Jeffrey Andrew Henry ,

but I don’t want to screw up anything done by SmartCrawl. have you run into this before?

Sorry, what exact issue are you noticing? In general, SmartCrawl helps with Setting up Seo configuration. JetPack or WooCommerce shouldn’t be interfering with SmartCrawl in any way.

SmartCrawl allows adding SEO configs for each WooCommerce products and for post/pages. Could you please explain further about what exact issue you are noticing so that we could have a better idea?

Looking forward to your response so that we could help get you sorted asap. Have a nice day ahead.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

Sorry for my confusing question. I have not sued JetPack before and I understood from it’s website that it also impacts SEO. This is from the Jetpack website.

    Built-in Performance
Load pages faster, and serve your images and static files from our global network of servers. Improve your site speed and take control of your SEO with Jetpack’s site accelerator. Shorter load times can lead to happier readers, more page views, and — if you’re running a store — improved sales.

So my concern was the JetPack caching my interfere with the SmartCrawl caching. But after going back to review SmartCrawl, it may be HummingBird that I should be concerned about.

I’m a newbie to your tools, but I’m all in and don’t want to add JetPack if I don’t need it or if it will interfere with your suite of plugins.

    Are you feeling me?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jeffrey,

There should be no issue between JetPack and SmartCrawl.

As for Hummingbird and JetPack, it will be recommended to use only one feature from the correct plugins. What I mean here is:
    – if the cache feature is enabled in plugin 01, then the same cache feature should be disabled in plugin 02.

This is also related to our Smush plugin, which offers CDN & LazyLoad feature. I recall that the LazyLoad feature exists in JetPack, so basically it should be disabled in one of those plugins.

Using the same features from different plugins could cause issues and incorrect site work.

Summing up, if I can use figuratively: we have only one steering wheel in the car and there can be only one driver. If another person grabs the steering wheel at the same time, an accident may occur. It does not bother if another person is a passenger and performs other functions.

I encourage to get familiar with your docs for our plugins, which should also help to understand each feature:

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

Thanks for the speedy reply. As usual the project that brought me to you was behind schedule, and still is, so I didn’t spend much time in the documentation. I will dig into the links provided before making any decisions on JetPack. FYI – You message was perfectly clear. I understand not overlapping services.

This just popped into my head. Does overlapping apply to CDN’s? Or can you, or should you use multiple services?

    Thanks!
