Site on Hosting not working at all: Error 504 – Gateway Timeout

Hi, I have been away for a week and I now notice that the test site I put on the hosting platform is not working. I haven’t done anything to it so it must be an issue on your end. It returns:

“Error 504 – Gateway Timeout”

Basically I can’t do anything with this site. I can’t access the database from the hosting panel – I can’t access the site admin or site and I can not restore a backup ether – it is as if the site has vanished?

I basically installed it on the 5th feb and it was running till the 13th. I didn’t do anything to it and have been away for the past week and now I can’t access it (last backup was on the 14th feb).

Have you guys made changes to the Hosting settings that may have affected the site?

hi thanks for doing whatever you did.

I am a bit worried about what happened and reluctant to use this server host for a live site?

as I didn’t do anything with the site it somehow corrupted or something happened on your end?

do you have any idea what happened ?

can I be assured this won’t happen again?

also the database that was restored is from a test host account I created and deleted a while back quirkycampers . so I think the best thing for me to do is to just delete the hosting package and start from scratch.

    Hello Matthew Graves

Unfortunately, we don’t have any way of knowing the root cause, seems to have been on the cloud side. But our recovery script worked well to be able to spin up new server from backup. This is only the 2nd time we’ve seen this happen out of more than 3000 VMs.

So, you need not to start from scratch, it should be good now

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,

    Ash
