Blurry images after installing chat

Images are blurry after installing Smush plugin.

    Hello Ink, Inc.

    I hope you’re well today!

I tried to check your site but there’s no support access enabled so I can’t check Smush settings and current smushing stats on images. The front-end is also protected so I can’t open it to see images on the site and even the example images that you shared during the chat are protected.

However, please note that Smush Pro itself doesn’t change any WP settings. It can do some things but simply activating the plugin won’t affect already existing images in any way.

What can affect images would be “bulk smushing” them but that’s something you’d need to trigger manually. Smush can also optimize images upon upload but then this would also affect newly uploaded images but not those that are already there. Furthermore, default optimization is loseless so it only strips visually irrelevant information from image files, unless you enable super-smushing.

Then, there’s resizing option but it’s not enabled by default, the same applies to CDN. In case of CDN – even if it does make images blurry for some reasons (though it shouldn’t; that woudl be extremely rare case) it’s enough to disable it to get back original images “as they were” (as CDN doesn’t do any permanent changes on your site).

That being said, I’ll be happy to examine the case and assist you with this but I’d need to be able to actually check the site, images and Smush settings. For this I’d need to be able to access the site (both front- and back-end) so would you please disable front-end protection and enable support access to the site? To enable support access, please go to the “WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access” page in site’s back-end and click on “Grant support access” button there, then let me know here once it’s done.

Let me also know, please which images on the site are good examples of the issue so I could take a look at them.

    Kind regards,

    Adam
